RipTydz is a fairly new addition to the Myrtle Beach area and we have been coming here since they opened. This venue is more of a bar/entertainment venue than a regular restaurant but it deserves some recognition. RipTydz was a true first of it’s kind when it was built, a beautiful rooftop oceanfront bar restaurant with what can be argued as one of the best views in Myrtle. It’s a spacious open location with three different levels (floor 1- entrance, floor 2- restaurant, floor 3- bar). It does have an elevator and stairs for easy access to each floor. Valet parking is available as well.
The drinks are reasonable for the area and the bartenders are always great. The food is pretty solid for a place like this that generally focuses more on its bar and nightlife. The smoked gouda chicken egg rolls are a must try and their mixed drinks are out of this world. Overall atmosphere rating is a 10 with the open views of the ocean. The food comes in at a 7.5 and the value is an 8. Overall rating 8.5 out of 10.
